Small Shops Holiday Gift Guide

Small Shops Holiday Gift GuideWe all know that Black Friday is the big shopping day that falls on the Friday after Thanksgiving, but the Saturday after Thanksgiving is Small Business Saturday.  I always look forward to that day because it's the best day to find deals at your favorite small shops in your community and online.  I love to shop at small businesses because they offer unique gift ideas that other stores don't have.  Your purchases at small shops help keep these businesses thriving and giving back to the community.
Over the last several years I have had the opportunity to discover so many great small businesses because of Instagram.  Some of these small shops I have worked with on collaborations or as an ambassador, but others are just businesses that I have found and either love their products, love their mission, or both!  Here is a list of small businesses to check out this holiday season!

The Silver Wren

I love the jewelry at The Silver Wren.  They sell a variety of beautiful handcrafted jewelry that's also affordable.  I have a beautiful set of layering necklaces from them that I wear all the time with my kid's initials.  Not only does this shop sell affordable, handcrafted jewelry, but they also give back to the community.  Part of your purchase goes to the Boys and Girls Club of America.

Turquoise and Tangerine

Turquoise & Tangerine is a mom-own boutique located in Texas.  They sell comfortable, practical clothes that are also stylish.  I really love their cute selection of graphic tees.  They have a great selection of Christmas t-shirts that would make great gift ideas for a friend, sister, or teacher.

Angora Soaps

This shop is for the guys because  I wanted to include gift ideas for the men in our lives too.  Plus, I am a little bias about this small shop because my brother owns it!  While stationed in Turkey during his time in the United States Airforce, my brother was introduced to wet shaving.  He said it was the best shave he ever had and it lead him to want to learn about it.  He decided to set out on his own to make his own handcrafted shaving soaps and that's when Angora Soaps was born.  These soaps are perfect for getting a close smooth shave and the scents are inspired by his travels around the world.  You can also find aftershave and other shaving accessories which make great gifts for brothers, husbands, dads, or any guy who is hard to buy for.  Right now you can use the code: FALLSALE to get 15% off your purchase.

Tracy Lynn Designs

If you have been following along with me on Instagram this year you may have seen me wearing my Tracy Lynn Designs earrings with almost every outfit I share.  I have a pair for every outfit and wear them all the time.  I love that these earrings can make any outfit pop, but they are also very comfortable to wear all day.  They make the perfect earring to wear around kids too.  Which means they are the perfect gifts for moms and teachers.  They also sell other jewelry and accessories.  You can use my code: KATIE10! for 10% off your purchase.

Better Life Bags

Better Life Bags is located in Hamtramck, MI and I cannot say enough good things about this company.  Not only do they make beautifully handcrafted leather bags, but their mission is to hire women in the community who face employment barriers.  Each bag you buy will have the name of the woman who made it in it.  This business is inspiring and I love what they are doing for the community.  Not only will you find a great selection of leather bags, but they also have jewelry, hair accessories, home decor, toys, and more.

Urban Kangaroo

Urban Kangaroo DIY kits make the perfect gift.  They have candles, lip balm, bath bombs, lotion, and soap kits.  Each kit comes with easy-to-follow instructions, all-natural ingredients, and high-quality supplies.  I recently made the lip balm and I was so happy with how it turned out.  These kits would be great to make gifts for other people or they make a great rainy day activity.

Lou Lou's Boutique

Lou Lou's Boutique is a Michigan mom-owned boutique that I was recently introduced to. At this shop, you will find lots of trendy and comfy clothing pieces, cute handbags, shoes, jewelry, and other accessories all at affordable prices.  You can also use the code: THRIFTY to get you 20% + free shipping!!

Jean Marie's

Jean Marie's is a West Michigan boutique with locations in both Holland and Grand Haven, plus an online store.  They have a ton of cute unique gifts that are perfect for women of all ages.

Bella Grace Boutique

You may have seen some of the clothes from Bella Grace Boutique here on the blog or if you follow me on Instagram.  This is another West Michigan mom-owned business located in downtown Lowell and online.  You will find lots of mom-friendly clothes and accessories, but they also sell some unique gifts and faith-based items like this sermon notes journal.  My code is THRIFTYWIFE and that will get you 20% off your order!

Sweet City Bows

I have a little girl who was born with a lot of hair!  Bows and hair accessories are always appreciated.  Sweet City Bows is a mom-owned boutique in Texas that sells adorable bows at affordable prices.  What I really love is that they also have matching headbands for mom, so you can twin with your little.

Hometown Haven Boutique

Hometown Haven Boutique is another local West Michigan boutique that you may have seen me share here on the blog and on Instagram.  I have loved partnering with them this last year.  I always find something cute and unique each time I visit their boutique in Dorr, Michigan.  Not only will you find cute clothing styles, but you will also find a variety of gift ideas.  Use my code: THRIFTYWIFEHAPPYLIFE to get 15% off!

Fawn and Foster

I discovered Fawn and Foster during my second pregnancy.  I was looking for some unique baby items that I couldn't just buy at Target when I stumbled upon this shop.  Not only did I fall in love with their adorable prints, but I love their mission.  50% of their profits are donated to organizations and non-profits that directly help to improve the lives of children in foster care. If you have a baby to shop for or a new/ expecting mom you should definitely check out this shop to see what you can find!

Don't forget to pin the post for later!!
